ARE YOU A MAKER OR A TAKER?

Humans are the only species that can create. It’s how we were made.

Not just crazy entrepreneurs and artists.

All of us.

We are wired to want something more, something bigger than ourselves.

It’s why we love stories of transformation. Joanna Gaines knows this.

Philosophy aside, as a brand you can make content, and innovative products, and build a community of customers and fans that you own.

Or you can be a taker. Take what the media companies sell you. take what the tech platforms give you and pray they don’t switch up their API. Or if Amazon, that they don’t recreate and undersell your product. Or just shadow ban you with their algorithms, voice, and ai search leaving your brand to fend for itself.

I say. Fuck that.

Instead, why not create?

Be independent.

Make your own content, your own platform, and own your supply chains.

I not suggesting going off the grid. that’s not really possible for most of us. but I’m suggesting a mindset that’s independent, that’s about creating value and owning it.

Consume and take value, looking for hacks, get rich quick schemes, etc. I think that’s just hustlers of the status quo.

As Gandhi said “be the change you want to see in the world”.

Step up and lead.

Make. Shit. Happen.
